A new law in Honduras forbidding passengers on motorcycles.

According to El Heraldo, the Honduran police are now enforcing a new law forbidding passengers on motorcycles. In other words, only one person can ride on a bike. The reason for this is to prevent motorcycles from being used for drive-by shooting.  While one person drives, a gun-bearing passenger will shoot at the intended victim.  In a country of less than 8 million people, with 20 murders per day in 2011, it is hoped that this law will save some lives!

The high rate of crime is closely related to the extreme poverty and misery of a large number of families.
